Introducing Lucky Corner Banana Leaf Restaurant, Batang Kali.

Nestled in Hulu Selangor and approximately an hour’s drive by car from Suria KLCC (where the Petronas Twin Towers stand) lies the sleepy town of Batang Kali. Known for Loh Mee, hybrid orchids, waterfalls, and as a transit town to Genting Highlands, it has developed quickly due to newly opened businesses, the new influx of skilled labor, and the development of housing areas close to completion.

How did the idea come about?

We started based with a belief that good Indian food should be enjoyable and appreciated by all classes of people, and serving food needs to be done with the utmost responsibility from the moment it is procured up to the moment it is served to the customer.

How long has Lucky Corner Banana Leaf Restaurant been operating?

The business has been operating for almost 1 year 4 months, as of December 13, 2023.

Tell us your most memorable moments in managing the restaurant.

Receiving the many compliments from our customers make up the most memorable moments for us.

What were the challenging moments?

The challenging moments have to do with the stringent quality control of our food preparation. We take great responsibility to ensure out food is served with the best possible quality.

What dishes do you serve? Are they different throughout the day e.g. morning, noon, evening?

For breakfast, we serve all varieties of India breakfast like thosai, idli, poori, chappati, rawa thosai, roti canai, mee hoon, nasi lemak, and many more!
For lunch, we hserveave banana leaf meals with various side dishes.
In the evening time, we will serve the same dishes we featured in the morning but with the addition of claypot rice.

Does the restaurant cater for big events such as weddings, grand openings, or luncheons?

Yes! We do cater food for events but we keep it below 500 people as we do not have the equipment necessary to handle a crowd larger than 500 people.
